Chef Sean Schoeben began his culinary journey in his small Minnesotan hometown, mentored by local small business owners. Graduating from culinary school in 2005, he joined Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining. Here, he crafted top-notch meals in Minneapolis, Las Vegas, and Maui, learning the importance of leadership and teamwork in delivering exceptional hospitality.
After moving to San Francisco in 2017, Sean embraced the Bay Area's beauty and transitioned to the seafood business. Working with great mentors, he discovered that with the right mindset, a dedicated team could achieve remarkable success. His journey up to that point reflects a passion for culinary excellence and the limitless potential of teamwork.
To prepare for the long hours of the fine dining industry, Sean focused on health and wellness: intentional nutrient intake, exercise, and antioxidants. Driven by ambition, he wanted to apply his culinary and operational skills toward a healthier focus. In summer 2023, a small space in San Francisco opened up, sparking his journey as a business owner. Barbary Coast Provisions was born,
offering fresh,nutrient-dense sustenance to a vibrant community.

Sean moves to Las Vegas with the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, honing his culinary and coaching skills from some of the nations top mentors.
After departing the Northern Minnesota town of Chisholm, Sean embarked on his culinary journey, graduating from culinary school Minneapolis in '05.
